We want YOU to join the League of Women Voters of Ohio.
Everyone is welcome!
Becoming a League member will give you

use your skills and talent to make democracy work
-

Why Join LWV Ohio?
-
LWVO is where hands-on work to safeguard democracy leads to civic improvement.
-
The League is nonpartisan; we do not support or oppose candidates.
-
The LWVO is committed to diversity and inclusion. There are no barriers to participation in any activity of the LWVO on the basis of gender, gender expression, gender identity, race, ethnicity, political or religious beliefs, age, sexual orientation, national origin, citizenship, disability, or socio-economic status. That's right: Men are members too!
-
It’s a bargain! A membership with LWVO gives you a membership with the national League of Women Voters of the United States (LWVUS). You will receive newsletters from LWVO and LWVUS, and information from a local League, if one is in your area.
Be a Poll Worker
Poll Workers are the front line workers of our democracy. When you sign up to be a poll worker, you are ensuring that your neighbors can vote with ease on Election Day, and helping to safeguard the process so that all Ohioans can have confidence in the results.

Ohioans that speak a second a second language or are from a minority group are especially encouraged to sign up as their presence helps to ensure that every Ohioan feels confident and safe in casting their ballot on Election Day.
Election Protection
Do you believe that every eligible voter deserves to have their voice count? Then you can take action from home or in person by serving as a nonpartisan Election Protection volunteer.

We all suffer when eligible, registered voters are turned away from the polls, unable to find their polling place, or otherwise blocked from exercising their rights. That’s why every election year, we recruit, train, and deploy thousands of Election Protection volunteers across the nation. These trained, nonpartisan volunteers serve as voters’ first line of defense against confusing voting rules, outdated infrastructure, rampant misinformation, and needless obstacles to the ballot box.
